Hi Andy, havent been there since 06 but it probably hasn't changed much. Remote, overgrown in places, sandy in others. Take care on the washouts. A few corros on thge southeastern end. Stay away if it's rained. Keep out of the way of camels. Which end are you coming in from ?

Hi Andy,
We, group of 4 vehicles, (2 Patrols, Holden Rodeo and Landrover all towing 4wd campers) finished the track July 08 east to west.

Great drive, overgrown in places, sandy, some lengthy washouts but most detoured. Did it in a leasurely 5 days, some great camp sites, very remote only saw 2 other cars.
Diesel $3-25 at Kunnawaraji??

G,day Andy, I traveled the Kidson mid-July and like Kev found it very easy going. Went east to west. Around 200k west of Kunnawarritji is a great campsite and the best water you will find anywhere.

Unfortunately only crossed the last of the Kidson where it meets the Telfor Rd/Wapet Tk a hundred km up from Kunawarritji. Camped behind the rocky knoll. The water tank/bore marked on the hema maps 5km inland of that location (22 06 31.9 S, 123 48 06.8E) is not working so don't rely on it for water.

Enjoy and make sure you give us a report when you get back.
