Mate, John Schaefer caught these beauties first week in August fishing around Mackrel Islands off Onslo.
Western Angler was there with them so they will probably be in the next mag!
he was pretty stoked!!!!!!Image Could Not Be FoundImage Could Not Be FoundImage Could Not Be Found

heres some real deep sea fishing! big eye yellow fin tuna!Image Could Not Be Found
I was working on an oil rig 200km of the coast of Equitorial Guinea (west Africa) in 5000ft
water depth Jun 07- March 08. The food on board was shocking to say the least and I lived on tuna and rice for the whole time.
think the record was over 90 kg caught by one of the mechanics who was also an Aussie lad. you could catch these beasts all day every day!
Notice the sweet game chair set up built by the welders on board.

BBQ tuna steaks soon get boring after 4 straight weeks! But I just couldn't bring myself to eat horse steaks with the locals

the ROV also got pretty good at catching huge spider crabs!

A 1 metre long Giant Trevally caught of our yacht in Gove, NT. You can see by the last shot that my lure was trashed after the 45 minute fight on light weight tackle...

I can see your problem with the picture posting leave it to me I will adjust this entry for you. You have posted the link to the gallery page and not the image url itself. To capture the image url you need to right click on the actual photo and go to properties - the URL shown in the properties window is the link to the actual image. Anyway I will fix this for you now.
