I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough idea of the price to truck a Patrol to Broome from Perth and any companies that offer this service, as I have been offered work in Broome on my return from overseas but will need to leave the 4by in Perth for a few months to get it fixed up as it has numerous problems and then ship it up early in the new year.

Any help would be much appreciated as I don't even know where to start with this or which freight companies to look at. Have had a quick search of the forum but to no avail could only find east coast companies although did give me Toll.

Nexus, Shaws or Centurion transport all go from Perth and past Broome. Also Autotrans do a Perth to Darwin run.

Autotrans will want the vehicle to be empty of everything not standard or they won't ship it. A friends daughter a couple of months ago filled her car with stuff she'd need as she was moving to Broome and they had to strip the car before it'd be accepted at their yard in Welshpool.
The same with me when shipping a vehicle from Newman to Perth, their attitude to a 60ltr Engel was "chuck it out"!
I don't know what the other truckers attitude is, hopefully better than them.
Good luck.
Alan.

Also try Seacorp shipping in Fremantle, they do the local state ship run from Fremantle to Darwin, pulling in at the various ports along the run. Its a very safe and reliable service, i have loaded and unloaded the ship many times and it doesnt matter how much stuff you have in car or weight it is charged per how much space it takes up. Good service and less chance of damage then getting trucked.
