Just wondering what year / month they started / finished the 24 valve version of the 80 seris factory turbo ?

Started in jan 95 (from memory) & finished with the last of the 80 series in 98

Must be a bloody ripper of a motor. Doctor friend of ours has one and is just coming up to 500k. Besides the usual maintanace he hasnt had the motor touched. I'm pretty sure he has had the turbo looked at once.His is auto which buy the way is still ok as
well. Still pull brilliant $$$ if you can find one. Sahara is the way to go but harder to find then the GXL. Regards Steve M

I've seen a few good low km ones (250,000km or so) go for over $30k. I believe they are one of the best 4WDs made, and with them being rare, sellers can ask very high prices compared to other engined 80 series- most half their price.
