Ran second by less than a second Shane - he left it all out there in the
water and I have never seen him so exhausted after an event. He's been a great champion.
The girls won the relay with USA second and USA won the mens relay with OZ second by a whisker.

the medley relay gave Phelps 8 gold in 1 olympics. he might be a yank and they might have got it after a fantastic reargaurd action from sullavin just falling short but I thought the commantator didnt do this achievment by an absaute champion justice

Yep I have to agree with you in some instances, I was lucky as we are having a travel break at home so I get to watch it all. It is a fabulous achievement and in my view he wasn't the same man after the relay today as he was earlier in the week, he was totally spent.
Actually one commentator said casually "How many gold medals does he want?" I was pretty disappointed with that one, it's there to do and having watch Mark Spitz do his thing back in the 70's now I got to watch another great champion set another mark.
Grant Hackett was paying Phelps all sorts of great compliments and reckoned he is the greatest swimmer of all time, pretty humble I thought. Good to talk to you Davoe maybe we'll meet up around the traps.
The bride is getting itchy feet again and wants to go to Tasmania, now! Footy & olympics are still on, so suggested we should wait a while longer.
