Hi All,
Hope some one can help old matey, I bought a Safari display snorkel some years back and got no help from Safari to the detriment of future sales to me, so I worked it out myself and with a bit of "eyeing off" I got a good result. Be brave.
Regards
Johnny

In the same situation yrs ago, went to a 4wd workshop and asked them to drill gaurd. fitted the rest myself. treat all cut/drilled metal to prevent rust.

Try theLCOOL site I am sure somebody there may be able to assist. If not 4WD ACTION is also worth a try.

Jon, have a look at this 2.8D hilux safari snorkel page. You may be able to work it out from there. Maybe you can cut a template from the snorkel itself. It appears to be relative to the door gap and it goes around the aerial a bit.

Failing that go to a 4x4 store and try the old "hi I'm looking for a really expensive widget. Oh, by the way, while I'm here, you wouldn't have an old snorkel template for a 94 lux 2.8D would you?"

That didn't work too good. And if it's a non-turbo, take the large washer under the snorkel head out, item 22.

If you get stuck & need some measurements let me know. I have same on my 92 4runner.

I fitted my s/hand safari snorkel to my GQ by eye. I had acces to a dye grinder and just trimmed a bit here and a bit there until it fitted. There is some overlap around the snorkel hole so any rough cuts on the panel are covered.

Do the big intake hole first and to measure the screw holes fill them with some grease and press them against the panel. Looks fine and can't tell it was a home job.
