Hi Guy's,
Its probably a dumb question but I know you will forgive me ( I am really new at this and the navigator bit )
Hope you can help me with this very basic question. How do I export a map from Mapsend (Vic map) into Oziexplore please.
I spent hours last night trying to do it. I have the mapsend map on my hard drive.
Many thanks
Christine

Hi Christine, I don't think the Mapsend map format is supported by the OziExplorer program. OziExplorer supports Bitmap,Tif,Jpeg, & PNG. image files. Also it can convert any maps which have a (.ecw),(ozf2) format such as the Raster Auslig & Hema Great Desert Track series. If the map image you have is supported, then try a copy & paste of the map image into your OziExplorer map directory & open it that way. You may have to re-calibrate it if the program does support it. You could try try emailing Des
Newman the OziExplorer program developer at : info@oziexplorer.com for any further info. Hope this helps. Cheers.Have

Hello Christine - as already pointed out - not possible - OziExplorer used raster images - Mapsend is in Vector format and besides that can only be viewed either buy a Magellan GPS or Mapsend program. The file you have created (I assume has *.img extension) can only be used in the GPS.
You could as suggested do screen captures on you PC, save in some raster format and then stitch the map together. You will then have to calibrate the map using know co-ordinates for points - time consuming - maybe not worth it.
Mapsend program has a lot of simialr features to Oziexplorer (but still no where as good as far as waypoint, track, route managment goes just to name a few points) - you can still run it on a laptop with moving map also. What were you planning on doing?
There are Vic maps available for Ozi - no idea what but Im sure someone knows.
Cheers
Greg
