Creb open

Contrary to a previous post saying it was open, it has only just been opened (i.e gate unlocked) last weekend!

Also mentioned on local news up here last night (unfortunately, as every man & his dog will be up there over the next few weeks!!).

We went through there up to Wudjal 3 weeks ago and saw several other vehicles never believe what they tell you.
We stopped at Qld Parks in Mossman to tell them where we were going and they said no probs go for it.... cheers and there is no problem areas its very easy going so have fun

Well, there you go! I'll take back the comment about the previous post!
Did you come down the zig-zag track (right fork off the creb, past roaring meg turnoff, which comes out just before wujal, or follow the creb to come out just north of wujal?

cheers
mark

Well fella a cannot see any sandles under the roof top in the picture..
New Tuono had 2500 klms on it and then they replaced the whole dash as the tacho was faulty. So now i have another brand new bike with about 300 klms on it....
Hows Sandy dog?

Its cool having it in the lounge... dont you get that desire to just jump on it and go for a quick blast for just an hour here and there..
Weather is not on your side i guess but come on go get that thing singing for me....Throw Tracey on the back and go off for the day or even half a day and have lunch somewhere.... you know you want to... go on....

Hey there Mark, we went upthe top and came out North of Wudjal, had been waiting for months to get up there b4 the place becomes a shopping center car park.
Also the later you go the drier and dustier it gets...
We had lunch with a work crew at the power station they were removeing the power lines and poles as it goes way inland now through Palmer river now
Once done there is talk the Crebb will be closed to vehicles indefinately and open only to hikers so no motorbikes or 4wd... would be very disappointing and there is talk of the OTL going the same way and forcing everyone up the same bitimun and coragated roads....... Cairns 4wd is onto it already

We went up the Creb from sth to nth on sunday. The sign going in from Daintree said it was closed, but the gates were all open and unlocked.

It's pretty dusty right now. We only saw one other group of cars on it all day.

It's an awesome drive, pretty steep, but heaps of traction in the dry.

Its very pretty country and very interesting when its damp. Dont know that i would want to venture in there when its wet.... I think the dusty parts spoil the overall picture when your going through rain forrest, still its a great drive...
