I am thinking of buying a Boss air comp and was wondering if anyone has first hand info on these at all and where they fit. I will be fitting it to a 100 series L/Cruiser
I will be looking at a 9 ltr air tank also. Not sure where that will go either. Open to ideas if anyone has some or already fitted one up.
Thanks
Gary

Gaday
Gary. I have a HZJ105 Cruiser and have relocated the fuel filter & built a custom bracket to squeeze it beside the fuse box. I also had to extend the vacuum hose and shift a couple of wires. Solinoid was fitted to the inside gaurd using exhisting threaded holes. I fitted a 9L fire extinguisher under the passenger side as my tank so would asume Hobzee's alloy tank would probably fit in the same place as
well with a couple of custom U bolts attaching it direct to the chassis.

Hi Craig,
Thanks for your reply. That is one big compressor. I have a little old Thomas bullet comp in that spot so will have to move that. No big deal. What type and size of hose did you run to tank? Half inch?
Hope it comes with wiring diagram for solenoid.
Good pic by the way. Thanks for the info.
regards
Gary

Had a high temp hose with crimped fittings made to screw into the compressor & an alloy 5 way manifold. I used 1/2" thermo plastic polyester line with press fittings to each outlet & the tank.
And yes you are right. It's a big compressor putting to shame almost all other electric models. Get used to pumping up everyone elses tyres as you'll be sick of waiting for them :-)
Cheers Craig.............
