I just recieved an email from GPS-Oz re OzToppo V2, for those people who like me were not happy with the product,
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Doug,
Tell everybody free upgrades to V2.1 will be sent out automatically to all GPSOZ V2.0 customers. Customer that purchased OZtopo V2.0 from other retailers will have to contact their retailer to obtain their free copy. (we don;t have these customer details on file). V2.1 update DVD's have not yet been produced but we are targeting late August, early September for the mail out.

Thanks Doug,
I was looking at this product last night for my daughter.
She is heading off early next year and is looking at the Hema Navigator (comes with Hema maps & OziExplorer) or the Nuvi 760 (Ithink). Which would you go with. She can navigate with map & compass but is new to GPS
Regards
Vince

Doug,
Brian also advised that you can update City Navigator
"If you purchased your gps with City Navigator or your copy of City Navigator on or after 1-may-2008, which you have, then the upgrade to 2009 is free, otherwise its $99. To obtain your City navigator upgrade, register your unit at www.Garmin.com and you'll be offered the free upgrade as a download."
I wasn't aware of this having been away.
Cheers

I'm not worried about it, with the downloaded update you can only install it to the gps , I want the full CD so I can replace CN 7 on the PC and add it to the gps thus replacing CN 2008 , so as soon as $$$ allow I will order it , some $269 it is,

It's like watching paint dry. The lack of any real information on their Web site is bloody frustrating!
