Jeez Jim

Must be a slow day in the office!

Nissan owner's counselling line?
Ph number for a mediator to help those whose blood pressure gets elevated when discussing Nissans v Toyotas?

Is there a prize?

Cheers
John

Yerrr...its a slow day here as well. Cold, spitting rain and so I am back in the office instead of the shed.

Hint.

No need to open the thread. There are two key words in the title and the first line that you can see from the Forum Index.

Jim, is it something to do with the fact that the women always call the shots - "going going gone", & "the captain made me do it"??? Or is it a bingo thing? I mean 878 = a thin guy with a large nose surrounded by two fat chicks, and being chased by 4 more fat chicks (8888). I had a bad experience at bingo once.

OK.

The thread mentioned The Captain and The Major. Ian Major and Captain Blood Jack Dyer who commentated football on 3KZ.

878 8888 was the phone number for Canberra Television, their major sponsor.

The catch cry used to go something along the lines of "3KZ is football, with The Captain and The Major, brought to you by Canberra Television, eight seven eight, double eight, double eight."

I thought someone would have remebered it, there are plenty older than me on this forum LOL.

Jim.

Ian,

Why the agression?

You sit and hide behind a keyboard alias. I am an open book. My address and name is known.

You insult and fire sarcastic remarks like a true keyboard coward.

Who are you?

I'm happy for you to pop in and say hellio some time. You know where I am.

Jim.

Something I must do before too long - do you have good coffee? Nescafe, I mean? :)

You know you're welcome anytime Mike.

We only serve Nescafe in a clean cup. Milk and sugar is an option that I don't like, but we can do it.

"er in doors" does a pretty flash Capuccino with skim milk in the microwave. She's not too shabby to look at either.

Buggered if I know how she ended up with me. I've got a head like a Robber's Dog.

Half a teaspoon of sugar will do me.

Steady on Jim! It's... "been a while" for me :) and I have to make serious efforts to control my... errr... basic urges... thank Goodness for goats is all I can say!

But deep down (six feet or so :) I bet you're a lovable chap? :)
