I just fitted Paratus seats to my GQ, and they are UNBELIEVEABLE!!

Any of the aftermarket, or even from a Grey Import, like a SSS Pulsar are said to be BRILLIANT.

Whats your budget??

Paratus, Recaro, SAAS etc are all $LOTS AND LOTS

Holden Commodore, VR or VS model are cheap, readily available and comfortable. Will also raise the driving height.

Steve
what are the legal consequences of fitting non standard seats (if any) ie would this be enough for an insurance company to deny a claim ??
Thanks

gday cameron.
in victoria if you change your seats from factory fitted even if the seats bolt straight to your seat mounts you will need an engineers report or vehicle will be unroadworthy therefore uninsurednew job coming so no fraser this time:-((

Thanks for the feedback guys

Steve
I drive VS Comm myself so can relate to the comfort factor

Truckster
The only seats we've looked at so far were at 4x4 show, 'Stratos' starting from $830, enough to blow budget. Looking for cheaper alternative & happy to spend reasonable amount.

As far as insurance goes, will check with Ins. company

Most will be around that price. Supercheap and Autobarn has some AutoTechnia Seats for $300ea, thats about it, but IMHO you pay for what you get.

bleep your selling a house, be comfortable.

Failing that, theres a suspension seat forsale in trader section for $400

Hi Anne
A very wise move selling up and hitting the road.
I have a GU Ute bucket seats and for the princely sum of $120 per seat a motor trimmer total rebuilt the seat with new foam better straps instead of the wire that Nissan use. I have alot of trouble with seats after a bad accident have learnt to rebuild the seats in each vehicle I buy to suit my needs. Jusy home from 13000klms on the raod and now problems at all.
The savings Anne will cover the cost of some good wine and quite a few meals out

have you considered valiant seats? they are very comphy,i have a mate who just sold a valiant ,was a real bargain ,he loved it so much he gave a lifetime waranty just so he could keep fixing it!!!!
anyway you could proberbly pick one up in a cockys paddock for 50 bucks
not sure if you could fit a baby seat in between as the val seats are pretty wide .
have a great trip
