Hello everyone,
we have a 97 Hi-Lux with independent
suspension, 2'' lift, extra leaf on rear plus air bags. Need to know what would be the best shockies FOR
the desert and corrugations

The Prado
Forum has many postings saying that Bilstein shocks are the best and I am soon getting my OEM shocks replaced with Bilsteins. Note that the new Hilux 4000S comes from the dealer with Bilstein shocks.

I reckon it would be very hard to tell the difference between brands with shocks,(unless they are the el cheapos) its really just the price that is the biggest difference. Springs are entirely different though. Best brand i have found which are very
well priced are the Ironman Nitro Gas shocks. If you really wanted the best shocks that money can be then you need remote canister type shocks, like the OME LTRs. But Ironman is a very safe bet. They have turned my 75 series into a decent ride now.
