Just wanted to follow up with a thanks to everyone who "helped" me out with my GPS dilemma ...:) Lots to think about now, and I was confused before..., thanks a bunch, shall be researching them all, and shall come up with what's best for ME!!...but I've decided, that I'm not holding a laptop, eventhough Al reckons he can rig up some sort of bracket for it....

RAM Mounthave some excellent mounts but they are not cheap - $100-$150

Check out ebay.com.au for a palm pilot. I purchased a compaq ipaq 3970 for $800 (worth $1200+) recently and I am extremely happy with it.Just Do It!

hi Glenn just back from the Gulf ,
mine worked fine to until the mount broke & battery trouble. will have to investigate causes.
Gulf was great!!Regards Bob
