I have a problem with my new PC, the other one died.
Had to take the new one with vista.
Whenever I am typing (except for this site) after a few words it stops typing. I can punch away as much as I like, but nothing shows.
I have to move the cursa down to where it stops click and then continue for about half a line.
i notice when it stops my font type at the top of the screens goes away.
Have met a few people with the same problem with vista but no one seems to have a fix. Have downloaded all the latest service packs.
Thanks guys for your input.
Regards
Col

G'day Col,
Same problem, persevered for a while then found a solution...
Took vista off and replaced with XP:))
I do not need all the 'u beaut' gizmos in vista, XP does me fine.
Cheers
Michael

A lot of sites use Java to manage data input etc.
Try downloading the latest Java version, if you don't already have it.

I have used Vista Business for about 15 months. No problems whatsoever. On new computers running Vista compatible hardware it is a very stable operating system. How do you know that it is Windows causing 'the problems'? It could be anything that you have installed including Anti-Virus software. It might also be any hardware you've installed since receiving the computer. How much r.a.m. do you have installed? Perhaps you need more. Have you installed any additional software on the 'new computer' since taking delivery? If so you need to consider that. If all else fails, take it back to wherever you bought it and ask them to check it for you as it seems as though you don't know what you are doing with it - in a technical sense.
