The thread was always going to be pulled, I expected that.

However in the short time it was alive, the views and responses to thread 61086 doubled. More people are now aware of the Great Cancer Walk.

IN all seriousness , Dio is not really that bad at all , you guys have just hyped the whole " dio" situation up to a point that its becoming "Fashionable" to pick on the guy -- almost like a child would do in school to be part of the "Qlick"

If you dont like his comments ---- then just ignore it/them .... show some maturity rather that joining the "IN" crowd and rubbishing the guy.

Intrigued by this thread, I had a look at Thread 61086.

All I saw in DIO's post was a cynical view expressed by a person who openly confessed to being a cynic.

I certainly didn't see anything that warranted such a response as some of those on the same thread.

Some of his cynicism is justified, but misdirected, too. How many times do we read about foreign aid programs, both private and govt, being diverted to those who run them or corrupt individuals in the coutry affected (Burma cyclone).

Now that obviously would not apply to this Walk but heck, all DIO was doing was being a cynic. If we didn't have cynics, how would we have exposed Watergate, WA Inc, Western Women (remember that?) and so many more?

I see so many internet Forums becoming hate sessions where people gang up, hiding behind anonymity, that the Forums eventually wither and die.

I hope this EO Forum doesn't wither and die because there are some nice people here. I proved that to myself at Innamicka.

The fella talks a bit of sense at time, and makes a bit of a dill of himself on other occasions. Cripes I can't count the number of times I've done that.

As I've said before, he brings a bit of colour to the site. So it might be time to get off the poor buggar's back and encourage different views rather than go with the pack.

If this site becomes an instrument for putting a man down then I'm gone. Won't put up with that sort of bleep .

Exporoz has always been about helping each other, having a dig, gaining knowledge, and forming friendships.

Thats my say for what it's worth.
