They're the same photos that are in the LROCWA "The Chariot' magazine this month.
Supposedly taken by a member during a trip to SA.
Alan.

Bridgestone Duelers, at least lions know a good tyre when they see one.

Ah well

Get out the sat phone, dial NRMA on 131111, and drink the water sparingly; or,

Toss out one of the passengers to distract / feed the animals, and change the tyre quickly.

Invoice follows

Cheers
John

Ring for roadside assistance now.
Advise them that you swerved to miss a kitten.

Er who took the pics?
Brave person.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.

Nothing new about that lot, they were on this forum about a month or so ago.

It's a bit like the other "famous" photo involving a SWB Landrover 90 and a so-called tame Rhino called Harry.

It was intended for use as an advert but Harry demolished the rear corner of the Landrover and totally stuffed up the advert (not to mention a couple of pair of now brown trousers).

I tried to find the series of photo's but had no luck.

Disco.

Very big teething rusks!

And they were 10 ply sidewalls.

At least if they had been Coopers they would have been replaced under warranty.

I hope they had canvas seat covers in the Landy.

There’s an easy solution: Ask your poodle !!! Read on…..

A wealthy old lady decides to go on a photo safari in Africa, taking her faithful aged poodle named Cuddles along for company.

One day the poodle starts chasing butterflies and before long, Cuddles discovers that he's lost. Wandering about, he notices a lion heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch.

The old poodle thinks, 'Oh, oh! I'm in deep s**t now!' Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the lion is about to leap the old poodle exclaims loudly, 'Boy, that was one delicious lion! I wonder if there are any more around here?'

Hearing this, the young lion halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees. 'Whew!' says the lion, 'That was close! That old poodle nearly had me!'

Meanwhile, a monkey who had seen watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the lion. So off he goes, but the old poodle sees him heading after the lion with great speed, and figures that something must be up. The monkey soon catches up with the lion, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the lion.

The young lion is furious at being made a fool of and says, 'Here, monkey, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine!

Now, the old poodle sees the lion coming with the monkey on his back and thinks, 'What am I going to do now?', but instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn't seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old poodle says:

'Where's that damn monkey? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another lion!’

Moral of this story....

Don't mess with old farts … age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill! Bull bleep and brilliance only come with age and experience.

Look at the last picture. You got a Lion ready to teeth on the spare tyre while the back passenger is just staring straight ahead.. I smell a set up... and some stinky lions...
