It less then 1 Amp, thus takes more then 80 hr to charge empty 80AH deep cycle. In another word it not good for charging, but good enough for “support”.

Cheers

not a lot.

poss trickle charge a boat in off season, then again a $30 crazy clarks el cheapo job does mine perfectly.

For serious charging eg on a fridge setup your gonna need to spend some more $$ than that.

If you buy 7 more, you could charge a battery in 10 hours.
Seriously, I bought one, and connected it to a small car battery for 5 days, still didn't charge enough to start.
Pretty little unit, and pretty bloody hopeless.
If I sepnt the money on beer, at least I wouldn't have cared if it charged or not.

LOL and for $700 you can buy yourself a top panel which will do the job properly.

Grizz, 13 watts is just on an amp for a 12 volt system. However, you might be lucky to get about 10 watts in full sun. If you have a fully charged aux. battery, it MAY keep it topped up, but don't rely on that scenario. With the homework we have done, it seems that the average cost per 10 watts for a panel is about $100. It will depend on your own specific needs to how far you need to go. Not much help I know, but good luck.

easiest way to put this one in perspective: 13w x 5 = 65w

$99 x 5 =$495

you can definitely buy a 65w panel for $495 on ebay. That is just getting into usable power.

so, it's about right on the going rate - it could do a job. I have one and they can be handy - but not a main source of power
