ROCKY BOY-JUSTGETOUTTHERE&DOIT
I need some feedback as to which
camp spot the best and which are the track/s I should attempt. I am towing a trakshak. Looking at the
park map there are a lot of tracks . I am there for 2 nights so a suggested itinerary of which track to do would be good . There are 2 vehicles a Landcruiser ifs and a Disco and we are both experienced 4wders. Cheers Peter

Hi Doug I have noticed on their site some of them hills are bad and mean . I won't be doing them . My tesosterone levels aren't as high as they used to be and 4wding to get to a scenic spot or the like is what I am into now. cheers Peter.

Doug
I have been curious about this place and just want to go and have a look. I'm with you re the vehicles I've put alot of money into my truck and even though I've set it up for 4wding I prefer not to go out abuse it for no reason.

There's something for everyone at LCMP.
We even run courses up there!
Check their calendar and make sure that there are no 'events' on when you plan to visit, it will be far from peaceful if there are...
Alben keeps the easy tracks easy, and the medium tracks medium.

Thanks P7 looking forward to getting up there and exploring .Going up NSW lwe early october . I think they have the what they call "Carnage Canyon" run that weekend. We will only be there for the first day and be leaving the next of that event. Will it get busy then from your experience as I will give it a miss and do it on the way home when it will be quieter. Cheers Peter

the Carnage Canyon Event is worth a look, less staged than the other events IMHO.
Carnage Canyon is just one track, so there is plenty left to explore, trouble with comp w/ends is the crowd they tend to attract, although, Carnage Canyon is traditionally a smaller event, and it's a pretty big
park with quite a few
camping options...
we're conducting a
"Camper Trailer Course" up there the weekend before Carnage Canyon, I'll let you know how green the place is. Our last trip there it was in the best nick i had ever seen the place, bit of
water around, green grass, and we had the place to ourselves for 3 of the 5 days we were there...
-link goes to our Downloads page, camper trailer booklet has some info about LCMP, but nothing that you can't get from their website directly...-

Landcruiser
park is what you make of it, there are tracks for every type of driver and standard of vehicle.
My stock standard Challenger didn't have any problems with the easy to medium tracks, you just have to know your own as
well as your 4bies capabilities.
My car is my everyday driver so l handled everything with a little caution but still had major fun as
well. Watch out for the
water crossings,
mine got a bath from the inside out...lol
Use the map as a guide only as it does depend on the weather and the conditions of the tracks, also there are some tracks that are poorly signed or are non existent on the map but is what makes it all the more fun...just use commonsense and if in doubt alwyas walk the track, it all helps in the long run.
I will be there again in a few weeks and usually
camp at Trakka Terrace but you can
camp anywhere you like within the
park providing your self sufficient. Theres some beautiful spots off the tracks you just have to find one that suits.

I've always found "The Gums" to be the pick of the campsites
