I am leaving this morning for the shops . Left the driveway at 8.30am . Only seen a couple of 4wds but lots of 2wds . Arrived at the car park and the speed bumps were quite bumpy in the troopy . Bought supplies (paper and milk) . No damage to troopy from other car doors as i have put side rails on . Left coles at 8.50am and procceeded home via the beachfront road . Tide was high but on the other side of the road and in the bay so snorkel wasnt required . I seen lots of 4wds cruising along the beachfront road , many more than 2wds . Made it home at 9.05am . cheers .

Hey Troopy, great report mate.

Thinking of heading that way today, any problems towing an onroad 6x4 loaded with a mower and wheelbarrow.

What tyre pressures should I be running ?
How much fuel did you use for that trip ?
Should I take an extra spare wheel ?
Any permits required ?
Would an esky do the trip or would I be better off with a fridge, if a fridge, what brand...Waeco or Engel ?
HF....UHF....Satphone ?

Sorry about all the questions mate but one cant be too prepared for a trip like this.......hahaha.

Cheers.....Lionel.

Hi
Normal road pressures are ok because its all road .
I think i used about a litre .
No spare wheel required but take your KaBar just in case .
No permits needed but you will need your license in case you are pulled over by the fuzz .
Forget the fridge as ther is a pie shop down the road and you will be home in 10 mins .
Take the mobile in case the wife forgot something on the list to buy at coles .

Very important . Try to eat the pie before you get home or you will have to go back and buy one for everyone .
