A cordless drill will do the job easily. I use an 18v Makita. Make sure you have it on the clutch setting as they will bite when the thread runs out on the leg. It is very easy for the handyman to make the leg winder fitting. For those without the type that takes a socket then it is a simple job to purchase a another winder and saw the handle off and use in the drill.
I'm lucky as my legs are the drop down type that can be operated by a socket fitting.

Hi pippy62,
Have you considered installing an hydraulic ssystem like this one.
You can set all 4 legs and level the van in a few minutes from one position in front of van on drawbar. I have builders levels screwed to drawbar so you can level both directions (length and width) at once. Also hydraulic is easy to pull up legs - just release valves and they all come up in a few seconds. Hydraulics is also powerful enough to level van on a slope easily.

Just a thought - makes life so easy to set up and take down.

Hi Pippy
You might also like to consider electric legs, see:

We saved a big $'s on the listed price by picking them up in
Adelaide.

I've a special tool for that part of caravanning. His name is Alex and he's 11.............don't think he'd appeciate being called a tool, but he does wield the winding apparatus with the diligence of an expert.
