Hi Everyone,
I am planning a return trip to Victorian High Country, my last trip was about six years ago, I was part of a group of guys that went every year fro 6 about 6 years and have now lost contact with each other.
I am looking for a fire spotting
ranger station high up, about 1800m. We made our way up a loose shale like track which took us to a
ranger hut, then a short walk to the rangers viewing station on the edge of a
cliff, from here you could see what looked like hundreds of km's, I cannot remember which track this is on, can anyone help please
Cheers and see you in the bush
Rob

Hi Signman
Thanks for the update, sounds good, just one more question, last time I was there all vehicles had lockers, and one towing a box trailer. I have standard
suspension and nom lockers, I will be towing a POD Trailer 750kg, is the track still loose shale and do you think I will have any problems geting up there

Billy Goat Track steep and in
places narrow. But it is vehicular track. Thus although diff-locks good aid, they not compulsory. You should be OK with small trailer if doing it carefully.

Hi Serg
Thanks for the info, I am looking at online goggle maps as my high country map ordered at local
camping store has not arrived yet, have found
Billy Goat Bluff Track but does not show
the pinnacles, any suggestions for online maps to view this?

Sorry, mate, ask someone else. I dislike even computer maps and use only paper ones.
Cheers
Serg.

What's this just about? It was taken off a 25K map and the Datum was WGS84.

Rooftop maps are the best by far for the
Vic high country.

G'day Patrol_ST,
Here's a map to get you looking in the right direction and so you can reference
the Pinnacles to Billy Goats.
Cheers,
Paul.
