hell. can anyone tell me the restrictions on alcohol as we are driving up to
cape york in october. thanks

Depends where you are going. But nearly all Aboriginal Communities are no take zones. They are
well signed but as you suggested best to look up each one first. I put up the signs for Lochart River Community so you can not take it pass the Airport turnoff. Best to do as I do, do not touch the stuff - so no problems. Cheers Tony

PS. October is getting late in the season. Be aware that you can get large storms starting on the West of the Cape late October. Also gets quite hot in the day and night. Cheers

As said above have a look at the web site. you can also contact them and they will send out pamphlets with even more detail
Most areas are signposted, but the extra info is good to have. And expect to be checked by the authorities. Big fines if you get it wrong and there is no second chances. $35,000.00 for first offence. Many times people have come on here and complained about being caught, but they knew the rules....
