Its probably a waste of time but I brought it anyway.

If it works out you can share the cable as its likely to be rarely used.

I note that the software link is invalid , and getting software may be an issue.

The chance I am taking is because the 4400 came out with defective software in the CTCSS function and I believe thers a possibility that its time constant can be changed.

yeah,got all that worked out,i just dont knwo what else this gadget ,with the internet can do.it says about doing A LOT MORE in the EBAY ad,just wondering what?

Send the guy a message through EBay and ask what the lot more is, If he doesn't say his just trying to make it sound worthwhile buying.

The only thing useful you can do with the programming cable is change your selcall number.Note that you also need the factory software as well as the cable and you need a computer that will run the software.(i.e. it probably won't run with some later operating systems and faster computers)-Steve
