No Fred

My mate's and his family were big business in sheep farming, and moved sheep around in Southern Africa and the old Leyland never stopped. But when it stopped, that was its demise...lol

Cheers

The old Leyland's were certainly something else, aye, the world over. I know the feeling about stopping and demise mate...as soon as I stop, old Uncle Arthur Ritis moves right on in and takes over :-(
BTW Tom's Leylands would have racked up a few miles.
Cheers,

Fred.

Most Melbourne Cabs, generally Falcon Sixes running on LPG knock out a million without having the head lifted.

I got a lift the other day in a Toyota Cab (Aurion? where do they get these names?) and I thought it was a brand spanker. Asked the driver..no, this has 360K on the clock.

I'm not having a go, but it is not all that unusual with modern engines.

Cheers,

Jim.

Yeah Jim
This was in the local rag a few weeks back

There's a few (32 in fact) of these hybrids as cabs up here, and the rest are mainly camrys. Don't see much of the big 6's anymore.
Out of the claimed 550,000k in a 3 year old hybrid, wonder how much of that was with the petrol motor actually running? would be hard to guage what the motor has actually covered.
Amazing that over the years, they have consistently covered near on 200,000k/year in a place like Cairns. (pop 130k) .
Remember an old XF falcon stretched cab here that retired at 1.2milliion odd k's! (Pretty sure that was on gas too!)

cheers
Mark
