Can you include a $Aust v's the green back exchange rate comparison. This, I feel would give
forum members a clearer comparison in the dowser price relationships

The price of oil this morning was $109 a barrell. The pump price in
Melbourne is $1.61 for ULP.
No wonder I'm walking around feeling uncomfortable with crap stuck up the rear passage.

Kim

Kim,
I was in
Bendigo on Wednesday and ULP was $1.385 per litre, when I got back to
melbourne it was $159.9. Also the cost of LPG has fallen 7% overnight ........I wonder if that will be reflected at the pump.
Seems as though the price of a barrel has nothing to do with it anymore but greed has alot to do with it.
Now oil is $107 pbl.............

Diesel is
the rip off. Even the oil companies gave evidence to the Senate Fuelwatch enquiry that there was a 'soft' margin on diesel.
In Ox ulp is based on Singapore Mogas 95 and Diesel is supposedly based on Singapore Gasoil 0.06. Intestingly the OZ ulp price moves about as Mogas prices move but diesel does not. Now all the big trucking companies put up a wail so the oil companies gave then discount cards but mug users like us are cross subsidising them.
Its about time the ACCC did something about all of this but all the pollies and others are interested in is ulp and the votes.
Angry enough?
