Hi all,
I seem to remember a thread along these lines from a while back, but haven't been able to find it with Search...
I have an intermittent problem with the Remote / Keyless locking on the GU.
Seems to occur after the Gu has been sitting idle for a couple of days and especially if the weather is / has been cold.
Pressing the button on the remote causes the lights to flash, but the door locks are not locked / unlocked.
Opening the drivers door manually with the key triggers the central locking as normal causes all the doors unlock.
After having driven it, the remote manages to operate the door-locks as normal.
Has anybody experienced something like this, or have any clues as to what might be the cause?
Thanks & Regards
PGK

Hello PGK,
I suffered a similar problem with my Hilux; especially when I was parked in the main street outside the local Commonwealth Bank. A passerby suggested that the remote locking was probably affected by interference from a nearby power pole or someone's wireless network.
Parking a short distance away fixed the problem. My immediate thought was that the Hilux took a disliking to the CBA ! Maybe you could test the interference theory and see if your remote device becomes inoperable in certain
places..
Cheers,
Netnut

Check battery voltage in both the vehicle and the remote.
Cold days kill weak batteries
