Its time to do the diff/gearbox/transfer oils and was just wondering what oils other people use for there Landcruisers, particularly 75 series. I totally forget what i used last time, but i want to put some good oils in there now as the old girl is getting on and i am doing more k's then ever in here to more remote
places. Probably use Penrite as i am happy with there engine oil, just thought people might use a different viscosity as there vehicle got older.

Hi Kroozer. I work in my own mechanical repair business and mainly use Penrite oils for all applications, Engine,Auto and Manual Trans. Diffs and Transfer box.Just use the oil recommended by them for each application in their listings(available on their website if you need it) Their oil is a little dearer than some but you get what you pay for. I was told many years ago that they use a better crude base oil to refine with.Regards,Bob.

The the lcool forums at www.lcool.org/forums recommend
Castrol VMX-M (75W85)
For landcruiser transmissions. www.lcool.org is the best place to go for landcruiser technical information. There is a similar Patrol owners
forum for Nissians as
well somewhere.
