I loved your thread. Bloody brilliant.
Our variant of your post is a road re-route over Yandaran Ck in Qld. Originally it was going to skim some of our land, and just miss the house on the far side.(of the creek).
Apparently a small, endangered shrub has been identified on our land, so the proposed route will leave our place intact, but not real sure how the northern neighbours will cope with the potential road separating their bathroom from their bedroom. But that's progress I guess.
