Can anyone recommend a caravan
park somewhere around
Perth which is near to train/bus so that city exploration can be done via public transport.
Have had a great trip and the
wildflowers have been truly exceptional! Just 4 weeks to see the SW.
Thanks in advance,
Mary

Good
park but the buses do not run after 6 PM. You can choose between paved and grassed sites. Amenities blocks kept in excellent order. We were there for a few weeks without the tug and we found the lack of night buses and none on public holidays - however the red London buses that do the hop on and off run around the city are garaged next door - did that for the day on Labour day.

And here`s another one, the
Perth International in Hale Rd Forestfield. Buses run right past the front entry, bus stop at front also... Nav.

Further to my FollowUp to Reply 1, we also stayed in the Central Caravan
Park @ Ascot (near
the entrance to the airtport domestic terminal.) It was smaller and not quite as nice Kurrinup Waters. However a short walk out to the Eastern Highway gave you access to around 4 bus
routes that all led to the city with
services to around mid night.
Three years ago we camped at Banksia Gardens, Midland Rd Hazelmere. There was a 1/4 hour bus service that met with the trains at Midland. A little further south of that there is a Seven Day Adventist conference centre on Kalamunda Rd (and same bus service) who accept all comers (if they behave themselves and dogs accepted) when they are not using the place. This one is by far the best value money wise.
