A friend is thinking of buying a 1990 fully imported terreno and is wondering what they are like and what comprehensive insurance is like.

A lad at work - his old girl has one. Its in fairly good nick, and seems reasonably priced (at about $3500), but she just can't sell it. Think she's given up for a while. I would have thought they were like an early Pathfinder. Parts may be a bit of an issue.

We have a few people on our
forum with Terrano's.
http://www.pcoa.org.au/forum They have their own section, and are always willing to help. One of the guys has had his for years, very capable off road, and hasn't had any problems.

Hi. We've just sold an '89 2.8 diesel Terrano.
Had it for over 8 yrs. resealed Fuel pump. Replaced Air cond Compressor. Replaced Shockers and rear coils. Towed a 5.3 mtrboat all over the place. Ran it from Adel/
Melbourne up here to Q'Land. several times a year. Bloody thing did Adel To Melb with juice to spare in
tank (72ltr).
Personally I can't fault it. Would buy another one tomorrow.
Runs rings round all the Toyotas. Up to the new 3 ltr version. Much better finish Than Aust Models. They a local Vehicle. the japs build for themselves. Not for export..
Not all companies will insure "Grey" imports. Check around.
But. Like I said. I couldn't fault ours..
