I have the Trail-A -Mate brackets on the sides of my van for jacking purposes. I am considering purchasing a Hi- Lift jack and want to know if the existing Trail - A -Mate brackets will be suitable for the Hi- Lift or will I have to fit different brackets???

If the lifting tongue of your hi-lift jack fits into the space under the brackets so that it will not slop out then it should be as safe to use it on your van as it would be on your tug. Before lifting the side of the van make sure that the front coupling of the van is firmly attached to something fairly solid like the ball on your tug(whether you are using the hi-lift or a trailermate.)
