Hi All,
We are moving from Melb to
Brisbane in another month or so. We will be travelling by car (not 4WD) with our little Jack Russell and have 3 nights to make the trip (furniture etc will already be en route separately). Could anybody please suggest dog friendly
places to stay along the way and suggested travel times? Is it reasonable to do one night at one place then have a 'break' by spending two nights at our second location?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, should have mentioned. Two people and one small dog. We wont be
camping as our Honda Civic wont allow enough space on this trip. Looking for cabins in pleasant caravan parks that accept dogs or dog friendly B&B accom if staying for two nights.

If you've got any free camps you want to let us know about for future reference, please feel free. We love
camping and 4WDing and are yet to familiarise ourselves with what is available around
Brisbane.

I've stayed a lot in cabins and on site vans (no dog) and they all seem to ban dogs in the actual accommodation.
I toured Tasmania a few years ago using B&B's and a few of them allowed dogs inside. Good liuck

Mostly it is illegal to take dogs into caravan
park cabins and motel rooms in NSW.

Most caravan parks wont allow dogs inside the cabin so you may need to look at B&B's. There is quite a list at www.dogzonline.com.au or www.petsplayground.com.au or the RACQ or NRMA websites also have an option to tick dog friendly.
