Following David and Michelles advice I've been loading up Bores and Tanks to the Places Directory.

If anyone has a photo of the Bore and Tank at the Northern end of Lake Auld where the Wapet Track commences from the Telfer Mine Road/Kidson Track, would the mind going here and uploading the photo. It's the water point marked on the Hema GDT north west sheet only a few km west of the "Rocky Knoll" on the Wapet Road.

As at late July 08, the bore was unserviceable and the tank empty. NOT to be relied on as a water source.

Cheers

Mick.

Mick,

We travelled past there on the 13/6/08 and camped below the rocky knoll.
We went into the bore but found it very overgrown, we were able to fill water tanks at that time.
I didn't take a photo but I've E mailed my other travelling companions to see if they have one.
I'll let you know.

Cheers Kev

we were there a month after you on 21 July this year and found the tank empty and the windmill disconnected. We camped below the knoll as well in an effort to escape that relentless easterly. I've just loaded the knoll as a place as well. Here it is. We got there late so only had limited photos. You may have a better shot of the Knoll?

Appreciate it muchly

Mick.

Should have known you'd have one Willem lol. That's her. She's not working now. Even the camels were looking a bit disgruntled this year. Have you loaded it up?

Yep.Razor blade bore is already loaded. Richard and Willem, have you considered loading those other tanks to places. Where are they? Far north of the Kidson/Wapet?

I didn't really see the one just before the Kidson Track turnoff in 06. But I was told that it had water in it that year.
Razorblade Bore was rebuilt a few months before I was there.

Yeah you're right Richard. I'm keeping a record of the ones I etiher submit, or update. It's the only way. I floated the idea to Damien at the EO team in an email last night that perhaps the photos we loaded could find there way into a folder on the members profile Gallery like the ones from the Blogs and posts do. We'll see what they think?

Cheers
