There was a fella who posted on here recently (sandman 13, post 61547) who wanted some help with the Canning Stock Route. I send some information to him regarding Well conditions along the CSR.

At first I thought this fella was a local, but it turns out he’s telling me he’s a Yank?

A few emails went back and forth, then I realized this dill was having a lend of me. Boasting about all sorts of crap about riding bikes in extreem situations! Here is the last reply:

Mate

'I'm starting to think your having a lend of me. Send a meaningful email or buggar off. If your a fair dickum yank and want a bit of help stop talking crap, and listen to what I'm telling you'.

Regards

Kim

Whats to say he isn't thinking of coming to Australia to do the canning.
We have had people from many parts of the world doing the cape with us.
They ask many questions as you would travelling to remote areas OS.
Just a thought.

All the best

riding bikes in extreme situations hey? Sure he wasn't Spanish?

I think there are some (maybe one or two) trolls on here at the moment posting under alternative names.

During the week we were visiting a friend who happens to be an EO Member as well and whilst enjoying a cuppa under the back verandah, our dog Jeddah took off around the house at a rate of knots chasing something. We took no notice and things settled down again.

Upon leaving we saw one of EO Members' cats waaaaayyyy up a tree suspended by its front legs and stuck fast in the V of a branch. No doubt encouraged by our dog to go to such great heights.

So out with the ladder and while I held the ladder which was extended to its full length, the said Member climbed up to save pussy. Teetering on the top rung the Member managed to delicately lift the cat out of its predicament.

Now the ladder wasn't all that steady and the young fella was making things worse by swaying around up there. I had to use most of my strength to keep the ladder in place.

As he came down he muttered on a number of occasions that a man of XX age should not be climbing up ladders saving pussies from trees.

Hahahahahahahahaha

Said member is a tad older than me!!!

Cheers

Willem,

I'd say that EO member was lucky on at least three counts

1. He did'nt fall off the ladder and break his neck.

2. He was'nt fatally mauled by the cat, contrary ungrateful critters that they are.

3. You did'nt have your feline pacifier with you.

Redbakk, "............... Hormones !!!!!!!!" friend says he has never heard one.

Gramps, I think Willem has tended to leave his pacifier alone since he was presented with a 'cat in a sack' at Innamincka. After putting up with a noise from it everytime he moved the trailer or made a noise, he found that every cat has an off switch.Well that one did. LMAO We had to tell him about it as it nearly swam the Cooper Creek

Wellllllllllllll,

As the 'Ole chap' that had to do the rescue.....not much to add,
except;

.I had to rescue puss......life would not have been worth living otherwise....
.Fancy walking around late at night looking for a cat that was 'way up a tree' shouting pussy, pussy, pussy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.trying to live happily ever after with a SWMBO who just loves
cats..........
.and trying to explain that Willem realy did not mean to send her loved furry friend up a tree.
.yep.. us old folks really should stay on the ground, and I think that Willie was giving the ladder a bit of a shake, accidentally of course.
.last but not least, pussy is fine, I'm fine, muvvers fine...Willie and the dawg,,,,,,HMMMMMMMMMMMM

Cheers
Michael

Gday Kim,
There seems to be more and more of those sort of flogbags frequenting this site these days.

But to pick on a poor OLD defenceless bugger like yourself is getting a bit below the belt.....
Take to the young wipper snapper with your walking cane!
LOL

Hopefully he might have got the message.
Just in case he didnt .....And to any others out there
...if you wankers keep pi$$ing people off, people like Kim and many others are going to stop handing info out..... Grow up....or like Kim said Bugger off!!!

There you go mate....better?

LOL

I now regret sending the post. That sort of out burst is not in my general nature. However, I get a bit sick of trying to help people who don't listen. I'll keep my own council from now on.
