do all engels 'automatically' handle 24volts or do i need to buy a 24volt model. ( my one is an 80l , about 2 years old ).

Yes 24V is standard on all models I believe e.g.
Engel 80 Litre Chest Fridge / Freezer

Sorry - further investigation reveals that the Engel 14 Litre Chest Fridge / Freezer is not 24 V (or even 240V), so my comment was slightly misleading. Rest of the Engel models are 12/24V including the one you appear to have (MT80F) so no problem there.

got a engel 40ltr been runnin it on 24volts for 6 years never had a drama doesnt like going back to 12 volts sometimmes takes couple of days to right itself
