Not if you're going to drive through the National Parks... which from memory you have to do on the Eastern side.

No problems with doggies on the
Darling River Run provided you are travelling/driving through the
Park.
The
Darling River Run on whatever side of the river you choose to drive is all public road available for the use of all.
Should you however drive off the road and stop you may be asked for an explanation by a
Ranger.
The National Parks are a very small component of the trip and don't take all that long to traverse.
One oddity that Christine and I came up against was when we detoured to
Gundabooka National Park. We stopped to have a look at the
old shearing shed and were escorted all the way by the Rangers blue cattle dog. So much for the rule about no domestic animals in National Parks.
Should I do the trip again I would have no hesitation in taking a dog with me.
Ian
