wussies
Ive just looked up the daily obs for
adelaide airport and the wind never got above the normal summer easterlies
Perth airport gets pretty much every night/morning in summer.
i live right next to the airport and ive never seen wind like it apart from severe storms. starts about 10.00pm and blows all night so hard the windows bow and the exaust fan in the dunny gets turned the other way.
makes it darn interesting when flying in from NS in a dash 8.

A work colleague asked what the weather would be like around
Broken Hill in Sept/Oct,
I had not seen Doug's warning at the time but I said windy. It is September and it is always windy at the Silver City Show.
Without taking from the warning I am not surprised.

We just had a mega hail storm in Lobethal about 1/2 hour ago - lasted for nearly 10 minutes. Larger than pea sized hail. It absolutely chucked it down. And bloody cold now.
I was worried i was going to lose my whirly vent rotors last night it was that windy.

Hi Louie, Spent part of the weekend at Mum and Dads at Forreston, and saturday night was very woolly, had 10mm rain.
Very windy across the plains today, but not much rain up here at
Blyth.
How long have you been at lobethal? Used to work for Claude Black Ford many moons ago.
Coming from Forreston, the area used to be my stomping ground.
Cheers pesty

Used to live in Loby (1987 - 1992), then Lenswood (on the research centre) and now Woodside since 1994. Worked in Loby since 2003. It's still a funny little town. Blacks Ford is a name from the past, that's for sure. Forreston - not far from
Chain of Ponds hey Doug.

Phil, you might have to get a pick up for the ride home! I'm sure the Lady K would. Ha ha.
We were at the fishole Sat night and nearly had the Taj Mahal of campers blow away with us in it - and the dust has been here ever since. Blew the Plumber (from here) launched his $1/2M catamaran at Bechmere this a.m. and is cruising off Caloundra right now and he said the
Birdsville dust is hanging over them as
well.
You could get snow down there!!!!
