Gidday,
I was wondering if anyone knew what wheel bearings Jayco use in their Outback range of Camper trailers. I have a Dove Outback & want to buy a spare set of bearings/seals but was looking for alternatives to their prices.
Cheers,
Barra

What sort of price did they quote ? And what sort of seals are you wanting ? ..Normal ones or the ones to go through/ under
water?
Have you got the bearing numbers of the existing ones .. this is really the key to pricing !!..Let us know what the bearing numbers are and we can all get prices ...and we can see who has the best price !!
And we can probably save you $1.50 or maybe $2 ..that will make your day ..

There is no definitive kit to suit any jayco, it depends on what
suspension rating it has. The most common is holden inner with ford outer and a holden seal. The only way to know for sure is to inspect them and note the part numbers stamped on them. All bearings are stamped. The seal matches the inner bearing (ie: holden inner means holden seal). If you have simplicity
suspension, the bearings are likely parallel, they should be landcruiser but depends on load rating.
Holden inner 67048
Holden outer 11949
Ford inner 68149
Ford outer 12749
For a ford or holden kit (1 inner, 1 outer & 1 seal) you should not be paying anymore than about $15 to $20.

It really depends on what Jayco can get for the cheapest price at the time! 6 months after we bought a new Outback Eagle I sent my missus into the Jayco dealer to get a set of bearings to carry on a trip. I foolishly thought that Jayco would be able to look up our model on the computer and find what the bearings were. WRONG!!! She rang me up and I finished up speaking to the service manager who told me I had to remove both of the bearings and note down their numbers, so they could then match them.
good luck

Oldbarra,
The ones on my Jayco
Penguin Off road were Falcon, I'm pretty sure it mentions the type of bearing in the Jayco Manual. I don't have it anymore so I can't check to confirm.
