so when do you think we will see a drop in price at the bowser ?
One can only dream about the fuel companies passing on the drop in price. I bet if it goes up a few $$ tomorrow then they will put the price up IMMEDIATELY.
Got me stuffed how it all works.
Anyway, I am still going away Saturday fro 4 weeks regardless of the price.
Cheers,
Cruiser

There won't be much of a drop as the $AUD has weakened considerably from high 90s a few weeks ago to low 80's (cents) - it even went to 79c at one stage. In %age terms the $AUD is about 20% weaker than a few weeks ago.

Yeah and have noticed the LPG has crept up a few cents as
well. All getting screwed big time as usual, and the government has no balls to do anything about it. Why would they care anyway ?? doesnt cost them a cent, ars#holes. Yeah the aussie dollar has dropped but I remember the aussie dollar being around the same before and petrol was a sh#t load cheaper. Wont stop me from going away either but bleep es me off to see people struggling then having to pay daily tolls on top of there fuel as
well. Just had some dopey bird on a current affairs saying the pensioners can live on what money they are receiving comfortably, should have seen the bleep arse amount of food she bought not including any meat, no frills cereal, 2 apples, some eggs and a bag of salad, yippee I can see that lasting all week, she said yes BUT we can drink plenty of
water on top of that as
well. What a crock of sh#t. Regards Steve M

Steve,
Have a look at the latest Saudi CP (contract price) on the LPG Australia website.
http://www.lpgaustralia.com.au/displaycommon.cfm?an=1&subarticlenbr=11
You will see that the price has come down about 12% over the last 2 months but not in Aus....
The is a problem with gravity in Australia at the moment. When things go up they stay up.
I'm fed up with it too. There is a
Caltex near me who on a friday arvo put's his lpg up by about 15-18cpl and then back down on the monday. He is also the 1st to up his ULP + DSL prices as
well even though the 7-11 across the road from him is always way cheaper.
Even a while back someone mentioned his silly prices on 3AW and he then lowered his prices shortly after......

Just did a couple of quick figures, the dollar has dropped from 97 cents to 80 which is a drop of 17.53%.....oil was around $147 now today $94 a drop of 36.05%....... and the big one diesel was around $1.80 qld now $1.60 a BIG drop of 11.1% so I think we differently being screwed. And everyone has gone quite about the price of fuel and as I say we just keep taking it up the !!!!

Strange we haven't heard the resident oil company apologist on here explaining how really we aren't being pineappled from all angles. Its all due to the refinery costs on Mars this week.

I told you guys months ago..........its all about conditioning.
Conditioning us poor bugga's to pay higher prices and keep em there regardless of the falling barrell price. That way, if sufficient public pressure occurs the oil companies will look like saints IF they reduce the price below $1.50 (ULP).

I buy my fuel from the independants so the big oil companies dont get my money upfront . They do in th long run i guess but to hell with them i say .

Fuel in South Africa has dropped from $1.60 a litre to $1.00 a litre, the reason given? ...... The reduction in oil prices!

You are living in the world of fantasy as everone knows the numbers on the big board out the front of the satation are easier to put up and harder to find the smaller numbers out the back.
Silly you.
All the best

Fuel Come Down , yes you really are joking , I asked at the fuel station this morning why I am paying $175.9 for diesel when oil dipped below $90 a barrel . Reply was crude oil price has no impact on fuel prices , something about fuel through a diode prevents the price from back flowing , beats the c@#p out of me . Reserve bank also dropped interest rates but my bank tells me it will be another month before rates can come down as they still have dear money in the bank or
tank ? Im really confused .
The petrol commisioner is gone ACCC is a front for some money laundering scheme ,( Australian Currency Converted to Cash ) Keven Dudd has his hands tied while making a fortune on excise , the ex police minister was dancing in his undies while dry humping the leg of another minister , Belinda Neal and John Della Bosca are innocent of all charges ? We are living the Simpson's for real , can be the only explaination !, Malcom Turnbull bleep will fix things now he has ousted Brendan
Nelson as Malcom knows what its like to do things tuff , parrently down to his last $120 milliion !

An honest government (sorry for the oxymoron) would threaten nationalisation of the industry. This would make the BPs, Shells, Mobils and Caltexes certainly rethink. If the governmant decided that all fuel would be sold only in Govt run outlets we could have a win/win. The Pollies could have a great revenue raiser and the populace could have much lower fuel prices. Before you scoff at the idea, there are a number of countries where this happens.
Then again this is Australia and it must be possible - whoa, I just saw a pig fly past my window!

there is 14 cents a litre between
Shell's terminal
gate price and the retail price for diesel but only 2 cents a litre difference for ULP.
Yes diesel users are subsidising petrol users.
