Hello all,
My first post, I know it seems a bit off topic but it's part of planning for the big trip next year.
If you have your own website, I'd be very nterested to hear how you did it, what software, how it's hosted, any other tips etc. Thanks in advance for all replies
Cheers,
Yockman

Hi Yockman:
I have a personal website (not 4WD related), and am happy to answer your questions as I designed and coded it all myself. You can contact me direct on jeller@bigpond.net.au and I can run you through it. The website is at www.diggerz.org/~jeller.

Being IT challenged posed a big problem for me when achieving a website. I organised a Domain name, then found a local Hosting service and then got a Local professional website builder to build my website. Many arguments later and the cost of a #@*% $fortune it still needs some work but I am reasonably happy with it. I have been offered help to repair and expand the site from another
forum member and will take this up in the near future. There are 18 4x4 articles written up in the site. Have a look at www.kempen.id.au
Cheers, Willem

Yockman,
I use software called "Dreamweaver". Its a great tool for developing websites. The downside is it costs big bucks.

Thanks all, have been checking your sites and some great stuff there. All this is new to me but I heard about free website hosting and because a) I'm really tight and b) it's just going to be basically a way of keeping in touch while we're on the road for 6 months, free hosting really appeals. Anyone using this got any comments?
Cheers,
Yockman
