Wow I must have hit a topic that interests a few people, 629
views, 28 Follow ups and 14 replies.
So thanks to all those that replied and offered advise on what DSLR camera to buy and today I did the deed.
Just bought a Pentax K20D 14 MP with a Pentax 18-250mm Pentax Zoom (is actually a Tamron rebadged for Pentax) but the manual for the camera is the size of the
Melbourne phone book.
Best price I got was from Digital Camera Warehouse in Melb at $1670.00, about $600 more than I wanted to spend but boy what a camera.
Now I have to go and mortgage the house or sell myself to pay for it, probably both, that is if the cheese and kisses doesn't take to my private parts while I'm asleep tonight. God did she go off when she saw the bill. I'll have to remind here next time we go to Bunnings and she heads for the plant section.
Going away next month, Malley deserts,
Mitta Mitta and the
Grampians so I will post some pictures (if I work out how to turn it on). Thanks again guys for the advice
Cheers

Since when does what SWMBO spends have any relation to what you are allowed to buy??
Enjoy your new camera. My kids gave me an olympus S570 for my birthday and I am still having fun learning how to use it, but they are great toys.
Cheers
Pete
