Hi Bought these today See them here
http://www.kysonix.net/ky/ProductEn.asp?BigClassName=SecuTire
Justin Liu is who I dealt with justin.liu2008@gmail.com
Cost me $402 including postage and $22 int payment fee
I bought the 10 tyre set 6 for car including spares and 4 for van
Car set at 40psi Van set at50psi
Warning pressures and temps are adjustable.
Only 1 small problem If you dont have them all connected like without the van it still goes around all
wheels and gives an error on those not there.
On visual not audible so is OK Seeing as a 8 wheel set is $700 here a good buy I thought

Hi Graham
Great, most systems can allow you to easily deselect a sensor if needed.
Just one note...
I see the sensors are 18G this will damage the valve stems so make sure to have your valve stems changed every 10 000 km.
This is easy to check, just push the valve stem to one side and if air leaks around the stem replace it.
Regards
Derek.

Thanks Derek Havent found out how to deselect them yet.
Also on the Cruiser, with steel rims you have to pull the valve towards the hub a little bit to fit the supposedly stealproof covers.
Maybe this will stop them flopping around.
As they are against the rim the rotation should keep them in place.
Maybe different on other rims.
Time will tell. At least if they leak the system will tell me ( I hope)
PS They are looking for agents Interested????????
Email me if you want a look at them

Hi Derek,
been thinking about a tyre monitoring system similar to this but had not thought one little bit about potential valve stem damage. I will re-investigate things a bit now. Any reading info to help out here please?
Thanks for the heads-up

The flexibility of the valve stems and heavier sensors WILL damage olloy rims if you have them. They will wear a radial groove where the sensor hits the wheel.
I wonder how long they will last as they would be much like a head being banged constantly against a a wall with corrugations. I don't think my brain would stand it.

I just bought the Jette Tiregard system from ABR. I only needed it for the car so the four sensor system was enough. When you change a wheel just transfer the sensor. Spare sensors are $35. They don't weigh much - I am guessing less than 4 gms each. They are just like a replacement valve cap, only fatter. Its easier to use than my old Smartire system which needed to be attached to the rim with the tyre off.
Very fast service from ABR. I ordered it on a morning off. It was waiting for me at the office the next morning.
