Have heard somewhere that you can
free camp at the Lions Club
Park at Premer--does anyone have any info on this --we are thinking of heading out that way towards the end of October & are looking for spots to stay

Hi gertie (NSW)
I drive past the
park regularly but have never had a need to stay overnight. Try ringing the Premer Store and ask there. 67442132
Good luck

Gertie
I'm not sure what your planning on doing at Premer becuase there isn't much there. I am presuming your traveling from
Quirindi to Coonabarabran?
There is heaps of room to lay out swags/tent near the
football oval which is on the towns only street. Its on the flood plains so there is no rivers or anything like that.
You also have
Tambar Springs just up the road (10 mins), which is on the main road between Coolah and
Mullaley . Closest fuel is probably
Mullaley (40mins), I think the servo at
Tambar Springs closed a while ago.
There is a
rest area at Mt
Mullaley (30 mins), a small caravan
park at
Mullaley and there is stock
routes all along there if you want to just pull over and roll the swag out.
Hope it helps.
Tim

Hi Gertie,
You can
camp at the
lions park, but need to make a donation to the lions club. This is payable at the hotel or
shop. According to the Camps Australia Wide book, the
park has
toilets, showers, shade and BBQ's.
Hope this helps......
Cheers, Michelle
