Hi all I have a question regarding the Nuvi range that is made by garmin, earlier posted about trading up fro my garmin GPSmap 60cs.

My question is, I am looking at a 260W will I be able to use my mapsourse softwear eg waypoint manager with it and is it posible to put a route in this type of GP, by route I mean the series of waypoints for a offroad trip and have the GPS move on to the next waypoint as you pass through the last one??

If not is there a garmin unit that does do this??

Thanks

Jaason

No ... no routes or track record , the one you need is a Garmin Nuvi 760 , thet with City Navigator 2009 , and T4A and or OzTopo V2.1 with Contours on a 4GB SD Card and you will have the best, The review is US based but the basics are the same.

Forgot to answer your question re Trip and Waypoint manager, yes it will work with the 760, you will make waypoints and upload them to the unit,
For more info about T4A & the Nuvi with POI'a Click HERE

Hows it going Doug,

I was lead to believe the only differences between the 260w and 760 were all the extras like bluetooth mp3 player etc.

I have just got a 260w and have been using t4a with it , I also have Trip and Waypoint manager but havent had a chance to play around with it .

So why cant you put a route into the 260 with trip and waypoint manager ?

What is the only option ,to load waypoints individually into the goto lat + long as I travel .

Glenn.

Yes that's about it , except you could go ahead 2 waypoints then add the closest one as a via point ,
