Well I'm not often so impressed by something new that I want to let you all know but I thought this is amazing.
In the local paper today, and I could not find it on the Glenfords website, Glenfords
tools are selling an "LED extendable worklight" that is cordless, rechargeable, has a telescopic handle length of 120 - 2110mm, power last 3 MONTHS when fully charged, and has 128 LED lights.
Not cheap of course, $159. But if it stacks up then the Northstar and versalite might go into Trader just so I don't have to lug shellite around, or worry about the second small 12v battery for the versalite, etc etc
Sorry I can't post a link. And no i don't sell them or work for Glenfords.

I think you will find that the working time is 4.5 hours and standbuy is 3 months.

ok, that would be consistent with the standard of their weekly advertising, thanks for the reminder of what they say as opposed to what they mean and apologies to all forumites I may have led astray with my enthusiasm, of course in retrospect 3mnths is absurd ... it will be a long time before i proffer another such post.
THough on the basis that LED's don't like "die" like incandescents then 4.5hrs might really work for a lot of people if they just start to decline in light after 4.5hrs ...
