Hi all, we have arrived home after what can only be described as a lovely holiday. I will try and set it all in a blog (I can only but try).
We had no problems on the trip, just great company, great scenery and a wonderful time. Planning a return trip.

We were a bit concerned when we hit Pt Augusta as it was raining and we had heard that all the roads up around Birdsville were closed however a thread on here gave us all the info we required to assure us that it was all OK to carry on. Thanks to all those who replied,

Willem we didn't get to Peterborough for that cuppa but if we ever do get there will give you a call, thanks again for the offer.

We did run into some EO people out there, At Birdsville Aussiedingo came over to say Hello, always great to meet EO people, hope you got home OK Aussiedingo.

At Innamincka, Brian, Graham and Brendan (I think I've got that right, if not I stand corrected) and all the others in that group, well what can we say???????? with a schedule like you had, you had to make it home on time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and that menu (which I missed but would have loved to have seen!!!!!!!!!) have us still shaking our heads!!!!!!!! I must admit Brian, your schedule and menu came up regularly in conversation around our campfire at night,!!!!! I thought our plans were satisfactory but yours????, anyway hope you all made it home as per the schedule.

Viet Vet, Coongie Lakes, hope you got home OK and that those instructions I gave you on how to become a member were satisfactory.

Sorry to have missed Ruth at Birdsville but better luck next time.

Cheers

D

Thanks Hugh, the only hassles we had was the Sat phone, it is going in the bin this time, we are doing our homework on sat phones at the moment. We had no flats, but our friends had three small ones, nothing major, Bevan had a few goes at getting up Big Red but no problem after he let the tyres down to 18psi but all in all had a great time. Bevan wants to go back again so will go the Simpson then,

Cheers

Deanna
