Well, we've had a really enjoyable six weeks away but now it's back to reality and work.

Thanks for the good wishes before we left. We're working on a trip report and photos.

Hi Viv and Ray

Good to hear youhad a succesful trip.

We followed some of your exploits via "Kiwi"(Laura)

You would have missed the big freeze we had here in the southern climes during July and August. We will definitely be moving north next winter with the rest of the nomads :-)

Cheers

Thanks Willem,

We were happy to miss the big freeze and even now we're feeling the cold after all that lovely warm weather up north.

I think your idea of becoming a nomad during the southern winter had great merit!!

Six Weeks - We dream of six weeks ! Sounds like you had a good holiday Viv.

I think you may have missed being heavily bogged in the snow though.

Thanks Robin,

We had a great trip and no, I'd rather be bogged in the sand than the snow!!

Six weeks seems like such a long time until you meet so many others who are travelling for three or more months. That's when I get jealous!!

Thanks Bonz,

I don't think we'll make the Pyrenees, as much as we'd like to get there. Harvest generally begins early November and Ray is too busy then to get away.

By the way your saying is wrong...a man usually tells the woman "you always have the last word" and in so doing stops the conversation because she can't answer or else he'd be right and in not answering she ensures that he always has the last word.
