Some people know how to push the envelope!!
This walk was done by Warren Bonython and Charles McCubbin in 1973. Unaided.
I based my 4x4 trip along their track more or less in 1987 (I'm not much into walking...lol)
Cheers

Did I read somewhere there that it was the first Solo unaided?
Have heard of a guy who walked from
Adelaide to
Darwin unaided solo up through the simpson. In fact one of my pics accompanied the article.
Jon Muir was his name
Peter

Denis Bartell walked from the Gulf to
Adelaide via the Simpson
quite a few years ago and is at present writing a book about it.
He also has a DVD out called Desert Walker
