Any body out there with a TD100 have/had any issues with rough idle at start up?
Mine some times seems to want to idle low then increase a few hundred RPM then drop again then lift again....weird.
Is it just because it's zero - 4 degrees lately on these cold mornings or is it unusual
Runs OK when warm.
Could it indicate a blocked injector? and if so, is there an 'inexpensive' way of cure?
Cheers

No.
I only use that if I want to warm it up in a hurry. I usually just let it idle at normal revs for a few minutes before take off..

Andrew,
If its been that cold where you are would suggest that the fuel might be starting to wax up.
Not sure what the temp has to be to start waxing, but feel it would be around the temps you have been experiencing.
Try some very hot
water across the injector pipes, injectors are hidden in head?, and see if that makes any difference.
Hooroo,
Bob.

might pay to meter the heater element in the inlet, it may be open circuit thus not preheating. is the voltmeter jumping straight up or does it take its usual time to come up? maybe also meter the supply to the element when cold to make sure 12 odd volts is at the stud. cheers Paul

Mine has an Idle Up Switch
"If engine runs roughly when idling after starting from extreme cold" use it
also from the manual
"If the weather is extremely cold...
Turn the engine to ON and verify that the engine preheating indicator light has come on. Keep the key in the ON position until the light goes off."
